John Glenn has six sizes of containers (dumpsters) designed to meet your particular needs.

 

All containers are approximately 4 ft, 6 in high and 5 ft, 9 in wide.

 

1 ˝ yards    length at base…2 ft, 5 in     length at top…3 ft, 4 in

 

2 yards        length at base…3 ft     length at top…5 ft

 

3 yards        length at base…4 ft     length at top…7 ft

 

 

4 yards        length at base…4ft, 7 in     length at top…7 ft, 10 in

When placing a container on a concrete pad, the pad must be ground level so that the container height matches the truck.

 

When an enclosure is required for your container, there must be 3 feet of clearance on all sides of the container.                

 

Additional refuse outside of dumpsters is subject to additional charges.

 

30 yard compactor     22.5 feet long, 8 feet wide, 8.5 feet high

   

 

Compactors are typically used for waste that is easily compacted; such as grocery stores, restaurants, and nursing homes.

Special Pick-up

Due to the Department of Environmental Protection regulations, certain items may not be mixed with trash. Some items are too bulky to be picked up on route and require us to come back to collect with a different truck. Heavy metal items may potentially damage the packer and require special collection with a different truck.

 

The following items are some examples of special pick-ups or additional charge items.

           appliances, air conditioners, de-humidifiers, water heaters, couch, sofa bed,

           living room chair, box springs & mattress, tires, large amounts of construction

           waste (we have roll-off boxes available for this service)   

 

Recycling

Customers located in the following townships in Centre County are required to recycle cardboard and office paper: College, Ferguson, Harris, Patton and Spring

 

John Glenn has dumpsters available for cardboard and totes available for office paper. Office paper must be placed in clear plastic bags.

 

For the remaining townships in Centre County and for certain townships in Clearfield County, recycling is voluntary. There are drop off boxes located throughout the counties for your recyclables.
